Aletha Smith is the founder and managing attorney of the Law Office of Aletha J. Smith, PC. Aletha is an entrepreneur and has owned several small businesses. Prior to practicing law, Aletha worked in the wireless industry where she led over 900 employees as a Director of Call Center Operations, and an Interim Regional Vice President for a Fortune 500 company. While in law school, Aletha was a member of the Moot Court Board. She was also a SBA Supreme Court Judge, and a member of Phi Delta Phi Honor Society, Pickney Inn. Aletha was employed as a legal writing fellow, where she assisted first year students in legal writing, and oral argument, as well as assisted assigned legal writing professors with classroom lectures. Aletha acquired pro bono hours in the Governor approved position as a Grievance Hearing Officer for the Charleston Housing Authority. After graduation, Aletha volunteered at the Orange County Legal Aid Clinic assisting low-income residents. Aletha returned to the corporate world to assist a corporation in creating a world class multi-location call center, essentially from startup, before putting all of her talent into the practice of law. Aletha honed her skills as a practitioner with a local law firm prior to opening the Law Office of Aletha J. Smith, PC. Aletha is an experienced litigator.
