Personal Introduction

Although business law is not Ana’s only passion, it certainly is the one that most drives her career. Ana sees this area of law as “the engine behind successful and established companies in the Bay Area,” and she sees her role as keeping that engine well-fueled. Ana is a corporate and business law attorney who specializes in navigating business and employment issues from start-ups to established companies. Ana advises businesses on various decisions they might face including business structures, agreements, leases, disputes, corporate and regulatory matters, and mergers and acquisitions. An entrepreneur herself, Ana understands that choosing the right business structure as well as ensuring the business is compliant with applicable laws and regulations is critical for all types of businesses in achieving their goals and that the need to make significant changes later in the process can become very costly. Ana also advises clients on compliance with the complicated array of federal and California employment laws. She reviews and revises workplace policies and employment agreements and works closely with companies to assist them with disciplinary actions, and investigations. Whether you need an advisor, a mediator, a negotiator, or a courtroom advocate—Ana can help. Before founding the firm, Ana worked in-house alongside other attorneys and outside counsel on a variety of legal matters involving regulatory compliance, audits and investigations, contract negotiation, business registrations, business integration, corporate and regulatory filings, and closure and expansion of business. Ana has also worked at a San Francisco law firm focusing on complex and class action matters. Ana’s experience working at a large corporation in the Bay Area where she provided guidance and support to business partners across different departments intertwined with her experience working at a law firm where she supported individuals directly, gave her solid and clear insights into the business needs and goals while keeping in mind the legal limitations and client’s best interests. This role inevitably brings Ana into close and frequent contact with the entrepreneurs whose innovations so excite her.
