Personal Introduction

Andy has helped business clients of all sizes in resolving their complex legal issues. He has experience in crisis management, insurance coverage, intellectual property, health care provider reimbursement, shareholder disputes, employment law, and more. Andy has represented clients in connection with investigations by federal and state authorities, advised boards on their fiduciary obligations, and conducted a number of corporate internal investigations into suspected employee misconduct. He has also served as outside general counsel for clients, supervising and coordinating all litigation matters and insurance coverage issues. Throughout his career, Andy has developed a track record of achieving results through creative solutions. He has tried cases in both federal and Illinois state court and arbitrated and mediated multiple matters. He has also argued appeals in both federal and state courts. When representing plaintiffs in commercial litigation, Andy has recovered tens of millions of dollars on behalf of clients. On the defense side, he has achieved dismissal or favorable settlement of high-profile individual claims as well as class actions. Andy earned his J.D. from the Northwestern Pritzker School of Law, as well as an M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Chicago. Before founding ASG Law LLC, he was the co-founder a successful commercial litigation boutique. Prior to that, he was a partner at the international law firms of Sonnenschein, Nath & Rosenthal (now Dentons) and Altheimer & Gray.
