Personal Introduction

During your free consultation, you will find that Andrew J. Anderson is intense. He thrives on family law / Divorce and criminal defense cases that are both complex and extreme. He often handles the cases that other attorneys shy away from because they are overly contested, political, litigious, or otherwise difficult. In short, he has the intense inner drive to deliver the level of advocacy that is necessary. If your case is hard or important to you, you should interview him during one of our Free Consultations. Litigation surrounding these matters is often very stressful for the client. In fact, these matters plague clients until they are resolved. As such, Andrew implements a three-step plan for each client that his firm represents: Andrew works to have every client “deposit their stress at the threshold” of his office. The client’s delegation of their legal stress allows the clients to continue to cope in their everyday life. Andrew uses his intense personality to develop all viable options to achieve and develop a plan that works towards the client’s goals. Whether that includes skillful negotiations or hard-fought litigation–Mr. Anderson is prepared. Andrew works to explain all of the viable options so that his clients are empowered. This gives his clients a level of control in this phase of their life. Full client empowerment means that clients always receive direct answers to their questions. It is Andrew’s intensity that allows him to obtain the results desired. Intensity is nothing if it cannot be properly applied in the Courtroom. Andrew has always had a passion for law and helping solve legal problems. He studied law in college and then immediately enrolled and completed law school. In November 2000, Andrew passed the Texas Bar. Since then he has been handling Divorce and Criminal Defense cases in the Dallas / Fort Worth area. 2007 was a very busy year, as Mr. Anderson became licensed to practice law in the Supreme Court of the United States. (This is an honor that only 6% of all American attorneys can claim). That same year Andrew became one of the youngest attorneys in Texas to become Board Certified in Family Law. (Board Certification is the highest award for specialized competence issued by the State Bar of Texas. It is awarded to only 1% of Texas lawyers who: 1) have an extensive practice in that specific area, 2) are recommended by Judges and fellow attorneys, and 3) have passed the full-day written test. Further, Andrew has been re-certified by the State Bar of Texas every five years thereafter). That same year, Andrew J. Anderson also opened Anderson Legal Group, P.C. Mr. Anderson supplemented his legal education with an extensive hearing and trial practice. Specifically, he has tried numerous cases before the Judges of Tarrant, Dallas, Denton, and Collin County Courts. Further, Andrew often writes and presents seminars to teach other attorneys through the Texas Bar Association’s Continuing Legal Education programs and the firm’s own rising attorneys. Due to Andrew’s extensive courtroom experience, clients are confident that if their matter cannot be resolved before trial, Andrew will work to receive all possible relief from the Judge or Jury. Mr. Anderson is respected by Texas attorneys and Judges. To evidence this, he has received the highest peer review rating as established by Martindale-Hubble (for both ethics and legal competence). Further, Andrew is a member of the College of the State Bar of Texas which is a prestigious group of lawyers that pride themselves in exceeding the minimum requirements for continuing legal education. He has also been recognized as a Super Lawyer every year since 2011.
