Personal Introduction

Andrew McKinnon has spent his career fighting for justice on behalf of a wide array of clients. Too often, hardworking individuals in need of legal help are in the middle of stressful, emotional situations and don’t know where to turn for sound information and advice. That’s why Andrew considers himself a problem-solver, approaching every case from the perspective of the client and considering how he can best help them seek justice and make measured, informed decisions along the way. Andrew’s law practice has been as broad as it is diverse. He has extensive experience handling large personal injury, premises liability, property damage and recovery, landlord/tenant, and construction litigation matters. He also spent five years with an insurance defense firm, defending mom-and-pop businesses as well as Fortune 500 companies. Andrew’s greatest professional achievements all revolve around helping individual people. As a plaintiff’s lawyer, Andrew helped hundreds of personal injury clients substantial compensation from those who caused them harm. On the defense side, Andrew helped small business owners defeat frivolous lawsuits that threatened their professional livelihoods. No matter who the client is, Andrew values open communication and believes the involvement of individual people is a vital part of the legal process, which explains why he works to empower clients to take an active role in their cases. Andrew received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing from Appalachian State University in North Carolina, where he was a scholarship athlete and Captain of the Men’s Tennis Team. Andrew moved to Houston to attend South Texas College of Law, and he quickly fell in love with his adopted home city and its people.
