Personal Introduction

In 2016 and 2023, the National Trial Lawyers recognized AV as a Top 100 Criminal Defense Trial Lawyer. AV was a distinguished Deputy Public Defender (2008-2015), during which he made over 10,000 court appearances on cases ranging from 1st degree murder to driving under the influence. AV has only had five guilty verdicts returned by juries during his career. AV also served as a member of the Executive Committee of the Los Angeles County Bar Association's (LACBA) Criminal Justice Section. ​In 2015, AV founded AVjustice Law Firm, which handles criminal, personal injury, employment, and consumer protection cases. AV began his career as a litigation associate in the Los Angeles office of Baker Hostetler LLP and later as an associate with the employment group of Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP.
