Personal Introduction

Bill is a Partner at Consumer Equity Legal and heads its White Collar & Regulatory Enforcement Defense practice. Bill brings to Consumer Equity Legal the expertise he developed working for the world’s leading electronic payment processing law firm where he successfully represented multiple processors and independent sales organizations in investigations spearheaded by the US Securities and Exchange Commission. A seasoned commercial litigator, Bill has time-and-time again defended his clients victoriously in high-stakes litigation, often having cases thrown out of court at the pleading stage before discovery. On the plaintiff side, Bill independently won a civil bench trial in his first year of practice, obtaining a money judgment on a defaulted debt instrument for his client, a multi-million dollar generating commercial financier. To date, Bill has litigated over a hundred cases, most of which have resulted in results favorable to his clients and their stakeholders. In law school, Bill clerked for the US Department of Justice where he provided recommendations to the United States Attorney’s Office in matters related to civil litigation defense, qui tam, and federal whistleblower actions. Bill also served as Legal Honors Program participant for the US Securities and Exchange Commission’s Division of Examinations. There, he developed competency in the capital markets and was exposed to the evolving regulatory landscape of cryptocurrency and disruptive FinTech.
