Personal Introduction
Brandon Robinson, Esq. earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Management from Hannibal-LaGrange University in Hannibal, Missouri—the boyhood home of Mark Twain—in 2011. He later graduated cum laude from Stetson University College of Law in Gulfport, Florida, earning his Juris Doctor and a Certificate of Concentration in Elder Law in 2015. During law school, Brandon received the Matthew Bender Elder Law Book Award and the William F. Blew Pro Bono Service Award, having completed over 470 hours of pro bono service. He was admitted to The Florida Bar in 2015 and is also licensed to practice before the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida. Additionally, he is an accredited attorney with the United States Department of Veterans Affairs. Brandon’s practice focuses primarily on wills, trusts, estate planning, probate, guardianship, and veterans’ disability benefits. Brandon has been recognized for his professional excellence, being named a 2024 Rising Star by Super Lawyers and earning an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell, the highest rating for legal ability and ethical standards. He was also selected by his peers as a Rising Star in Wills in 2020 and as an Elite Top Attorney in Wills each year since 2021 by SRQ Magazine. Prior to joining Battle Law, Brandon served for two years as the Elder Consumer Protection Fellow at Stetson University College of Law, where he worked to combat elder fraud and exploitation.

His professional and community involvement includes: Serving as Treasurer on the Board of Directors of the Manatee County Bar Association Serving on the Florida Bar Elder Law Section’s Estate Planning Committee, and Guardianship Committees Brandon is an active member of the Florida Bar’s Elder Law Section; the Real Property, Probate, and Trust Law Section; and the Florida Bar Speakers Bureau. He also volunteers annually with the St. Petersburg Community Law Program’s Wills for Warriors event. A proud veteran, Brandon is a Life Member of Marine Corps League Detachment No. 57, where he served ten years on the Board of Trustees, including roles as Adjutant, Paymaster, and seven consecutive terms as Judge Advocate. He is also a Life Member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4364 and participates in the Marine Corps League Honor Guard for military funerals, parades, and civic events. Brandon previously served: Three consecutive terms on the Florida Bar’s Standing Committee on Military and Veterans Affairs Five years on the Board of Directors for the Manatee County Bar Association Young Lawyers Division, including terms as Secretary and Treasurer Three Years as Volunteer Judge for Manatee County Teen Court One Term as a member of the Florida Bar’s 12th Judicial Circuit Attorney Grievance Committee Three Terms on the Board of Directors for the Thomas E. Penick, Jr. American Inn of Court Three terms on the Town of Kenneth City Planning and Zoning Board Before pursuing higher education, Brandon enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, serving honorably as an Ammunition Specialist Technician in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. His military decorations include the Presidential Unit Citation, Iraq Campaign Medal with two bronze campaign stars, and the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal. After his military service, Brandon worked as an emergency medical technician, CPR and first-aid instructor, horse ranch manager, welder, and master scuba diver trainer and full cave diver, before completing his undergraduate degree. Brandon and his wife, Dawn, have two sons, two daughters, and several grandchildren. Their lively household also includes a Great Dane, a Coconut Lab, a Black Goldendoodle, a Maltese, and two ornery cats. In his free time, Brandon enjoys family activities, exploring underwater caves and shipwrecks, visiting National Parks, watching college football (Go Gamecocks!) and other sports, playing music (trumpet, percussion, and guitar), flying, skydiving, traveling, and attempting to master the art of good BBQ.
