Personal Introduction

Catherine was born and raised in Houston, Texas, and is a proud first-generation American. From an early age, she embraced the values of hard work, opportunity, and service to the community—principles that have remained the foundation of both her personal journey and legal practice. Catherine graduated cum laude from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science. Her passion for health and public service led her to San Diego State University, where she earned a Master of Public Health with a concentration in epidemiology. During her graduate studies, Catherine became increasingly drawn to the intersection of healthcare and the law—particularly how legal frameworks impact access to quality care and shape health outcomes. Motivated by this interest, Catherine pursued her law degree at the University of San Diego School of Law where she was a member of the San Diego Law Review and the university’s Mock Trial Team, sharpening both her analytical and advocacy skills. While in law school, Catherine also completed judicial externships with the Superior Court of California (San Diego County), the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California, and the California Court of Appeal, Fourth District, Division One. These experiences gave her valuable insight into the judicial process and deepened her commitment to thoughtful, thorough advocacy. Before founding Wicker Law, P.C., Catherine was a partner at the nation’s largest law firm dedicated exclusively to representing healthcare clients. She represented hospitals, medical staffs, and various healthcare providers—helping them navigate complex and highly regulated landscapes while maintaining the highest standards of patient care. Today, as the founder of Wicker Law, P.C., she brings that same dedication, insight, and passion for service to her clients.
