Personal Introduction

Cátia Kossovsky has over 20 years of experience representing businesses of all sizes and in various industries. Cátia started her career as an attorney working in-house for a private equity company in New York City. She then moved on to work at two large multi-national law firms Loeb & Loeb in New York and Reed Smith in Pittsburgh. Cátia is also an entrepreneur and understands what it takes for businesses from the start-up phase to prosper. She has worked on numerous cross-border mergers, acquisitions and general business transactions, where she represents various companies in need of raising capital through private funding and acts as fractional outside in-house counsel for small to midsize start-ups. Cátia was the inaugural chair of the Allegheny County Bar Association's Medical Marijuana and Hemp Law Committee. She also sat on the International Cannabis Bar Association's Board of Directors, as well currently sits in the Board of Directors of two local non-profits. In 2019, Cátia was listed as a Cannabis Law Trailblazer by The National Law Journal. Additionally Cátia also has experience representing clients in the alcohol and spirits industry. catia acts as fractional corporate general counsel for several clients on a fixed fee basis.
