Personal Introduction
Intellectual property, litigation and IP transactions are my bailiwick. I am a U.S. Registered Patent Attorney and handle a bit of patent filings and prosecution, along with a steady docket of litigation and some intellectual property transaction work. I am based in Austin and have an office in the patent hotbed of Waco, Texas. My firm is small (2 lawyers and legal assistants). I have learned that much of what I do on a regular basis is ably handled with my small group, together with jointly representing with others where needed. My referral needs are corporate, securities, tax, large transaction, and litigation help/cooperation. After too many years in BigLaw life, I started my firm in 2001. Since then, I and my firm have handled matters in and related to a number of jurisdictions throughout the U.S.

I spend most of my non-work time with family and hobbies, such as fishing, woodworking and sports. I'm an avid walker and hiker. Although I office in Texas, in Austin and Waco, I enjoy spending some of the summer days in the mountains. Several boards and committees count me as member.
