Personal Introduction
David K. Silverberg is a 1986 magna cum laude graduate of California Western School of Law and is admitted to practice law in New York. After working as an insurance defense attorney in San Diego, David returned to Buffalo in 1993 with his wife Cheryl and their two sons, Jacob and Zachary. Since then, he has primarily focused his practice on civil litigation, criminal defense, matrimonial and family law, estate planning and probate and issues involved in the investment industry. He is a member of the Erie County, and American Bar Associations, as well as the New York State Defenders Association. Due to his involvement with investment industry disputes he previously was an Arbitration Chairperson for the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), formerly National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD). He is on the felony panel of the Erie County Bar Association’s Aid to Indigent Prisoners Society, Inc. He was admitted to practice law in California in 1986 and in New York in 1988. He is authorized and admitted to practice before United States District Courts for the Southern District of California and the Western District of New York as well as the United States Bankruptcy Court.
