Davit earned his JD with Honors from the University of Notre Dame Law School. He externed for the United States District Court for the Northern District of Indiana while in law school and was a staff editor of the Journal of International and Comparative Law, a member of the Notre Dame Vis Moot Team, and the founder and president of the Armenian Student Association of Notre Dame. Experience Breach of contract: Third chaired a federal jury trial involving a breach of contract matter resulting in a complete victory for the client and an award of over $17 million. Investor fraud: Conducted the factual investigation into a Crypto fraud scheme through which a client and many others were defrauded, ultimately obtaining a default judgment against the fraudster and his companies on behalf of the client. Celebrity artist: First chaired a California Talent Agencies Act violation hearing, representing the artist client against a fraudulent “management” company. Trials: Second and third-chaired five jury and bench trials in state and criminal court, obtaining favorable results for clients. Pre-litigation: Successfully prevented a dispute between a technology company client with a partner company from turning to litigation, resolving all matters in pre-litigation in such a way that a vital business relationship could continue. Trade secret: Defended former executive accused of trade secret misappropriation, resulting in the Plaintiff paying to settle with the Defendant (client) after obtaining a court order during motions in limine preventing Plaintiff from introducing evidence of damages. Appellate matters: Drafted portions of appellate brief that obtained reversal in the 9th Circuit of a California Central District order dismissing a lawsuit under the Montreal Convention. Criminal matters: Second chaired a criminal bench trial and first chaired a dozen preliminary hearings, involving matters such as identity theft, financial fraud, etc., all concluding with favorable results.
