Personal Introduction

While practicing law for more than 30 years, I have maintained a client-centered service-oriented law practice. I work directly with clients from the start of a matter through completion, and I maintain open communication while providing legal services. My Estate Law practice is outlined at PremierEstateLaw.com and my General Practice (Business/Entertainment, Immigration, and Education) is outlined at ArnesonAxelbergLaw.com. I enjoy educating clients regarding their legal matters so they can have the knowledge needed to actively participate in the decisions related to their legal matters, and am building a library of videos and documents that will be available for client's to view and read at their convenience.

Practice Summary

ESTATE LAW: In creating estate plans, I am client-centered with a focus on providing clients peace of mind their estate wishes will be followed. I help clients avoid unnecessary costs and expenses that could otherwise result from their not having an appropriate Estate Plan. I also provide professional and compassionate guidance to PR’s and Trustees tasked with administering estates in addition to creating guardianships and conservatorships, special needs trusts, and pet trusts when/as appropriate. SPECIAL EDUCATION AND DISABILITY RIGHTS: I assist families with children who have special needs by advocating for their education (ensuring IEP’s and 504’s are provided and adhered to), through the creation and inclusion of Special Needs Trust provisions in their Estate Plan/Trusts. I also advocate for children and adults who have been bullied by others or who have been treated unlawfully by teachers or administrators in their education pursuits. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY/TRADEMARKS: With Law as my second career after working in journalism and television production, I enjoy assisting clients with their entertainment, technology and media issues. I have extensive experience addressing intellectual property rights, including trademark and copyright filings, licensing agreements, and USPTO appeals. IMMIGRATION: I have represented immigrants in family related application matters for more than 20 years. I provide clients assistance in successfully obtaining their green cards/work authorization, obtaining protection under DACA, applying for United States Citizenship, Obtaining an Adjustment of Status through marriage, and receiving special protections under the Violence Against Women’s Act (VAWA) and Asylum application process.
