Personal Introduction
As the principal of Coogan Gallagher, I had taken over the law firm where I learned to represent injured Plaintiffs for the first part of my career. I have been running this practice since 2015. Since then, I have brought on a terrific partner in Caroleann Gallagher. The two of us work together closely to really get to know our clients and their cases. We've always believed that this is the most direct path to a positive outcome that provides as much economic justice as we can achieve for each individual client. The firm focuses on trucking, construction and medical and nursing malpractice cases.

Civic & Charitable Involvement: Jim serves as a Commissioner for the Park Ridge Planning & Zoning Commission, helping shape his community and helping it plan for the future. Jim has also raised money for Special Olympics of Chicago by dunking himself in the chilly February waters of Lake Michigan. Jim has been a Member of the Associate Board for the Greater Chicago Food Depository since 2015. Jim has also volunteered to support service projects around the city through his involvement in the Chicago Chapter of the Alumni Association of Boston College.
