Practice Summary
I am a dedicated immigration attorney with a diverse range of experience in niche areas of immigration law. With a focus on H-2A and H-2B visas, I-9 and E-Verify, government investigations, and immigration due diligence, I gravitate to more complex matters of family and employment-based immigration, navigating each case with passionate advocacy, precision and care. Whether it’s a L-1 visa for a new office, a medical exam exception for naturalization, or representation before the Immigrant and Employee Rights Section of the Department of Justice, I find solutions to some of the more challenging immigration problems. Throughout my career, I've practiced at the intersection of immigration law and labor and employment, rubbing shoulders with H.R. Vice Presidents and Senior In-House Counsel at some of the world's largest companies on complex immigration matters related to recruiting, visa sponsorship, onboarding, electronic software, and immigration considerations in mergers and acquisitions. At Ogletree Deakins, I regularly consulted with firm partners around the country on difficult immigration compliance scenarios, including E-Verify debarment, immigration-related discrimination claims brought by the Justice Department, and unusual document verification scenarios. I find innovative solutions when others see dead ends. I am a thought leader in the H-2A temporary agricultural worker program, helping since 2008 to secure classification of construction work on a farm as agriculture for purposes of unlimited H-2A visa issuance. I help employers identify and execute a viable immigration solution to their labor shortages.

Personal Interests & Charitable Work
I live with my wife, four children, and a German Short-haired Pointer in Leander, Texas, one of the fastest-growing city in the United States. A political strategist and former lobbyist, I am the founder of Keep Leander Connected, a grassroots community group that succeeded in passing a ballot measure to preserve Leander’s sixty-four-mile round trip light rail to downtown Austin. I remain actively engaged in promoting the responsible growth of central Texas communities and currently serve on the steering committee for the Leander Independent School District’s Facility Advisory Committee, where I recommended $1 billion infrastructure spending and successfully advocated for the passage of a school bond. I enjoy caring for the longhorns and horses at the Pioneer Living History Farms, where me and my family are volunteer animal feeders. I am the musical director for my congregation and routinely compose/arrange music for vocal and instrumental groups.
What is Overture?
Overture is an attorney-to-attorney referral network. Vetted attorneys refer matters they can’t take on to trusted colleagues and earn fee splits when they do, expanding what every attorney can offer their clients.
