Jeffrey “Jeff” Adelman has been a part of the South Florida community for over 35 years since moving with his family from Chicago, Illinois to Coral Springs, Florida where he lives today. Upon becoming an attorney in 2002, Jeff joined his father Larry Adelman in the family business and the personal injury firm became Adelman & Adelman, P.A. Jeff merged his law firm to join Brotman Nusbaum Ibrahim & Adelman as well as the Boca Mediation Group. Throughout his entire career, Jeff has focused his practice on personal injury litigation. Jeff is a Florida Bar Board Certified Civil Trial Lawyer since 2019. He is ‘AV’ Preeminent Rated by his peers by Martindale-Hubbell, which is an independent lawyer rating publication. He has additionally been recognized by his peers as being a “Super Lawyer” in that publication. Additionally, Jeff is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Civil Mediator. He has served as a lecturer for aspiring mediators about the intricacies of personal injury claims as a Florida Supreme Court approved Subject Matter Specialist. The Florida Bar appointed Jeff as Chair of the Florida Bar Clients’ Security Fund Committee in 2015. The Clients’ Security Fund was created by the Florida Bar to help reimburse victims of attorneys who misappropriated or embezzled their money. In 2020, Jeff served as the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) President-Elect for the Fort Lauderdale Chapter. His efforts during the Covid-19 Pandemic helped bring about virtual (Zoom) motion calendar hearings, depositions along with other virtual proceedings that allowed the wheels of justice of continue despite the Coronavirus crisis. He currently serves as President of the Florida Chapters of the American Board of Trial Advocates (FLABOTA). Additionally, he has been named the 2023 ABOTA Fort Lauderdale Trial Lawyer of the Year Award.
