Personal Introduction

Jessica E. Chang is a Member in the firm’s Employment Law and Business Litigation practice groups. She counsels and represents corporate management clients across the labor and employment law sectors. She also represents clients before administrative agencies and litigates in state and federal court. Jessica has extensive experience defending employers in matters under various constitutional provisions and state and federal employment discrimination statutes, including Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, sexual harassment and hostile work environment claims, ADA, ADEA and FMLA claims, whistleblower claims and retaliation claims. Jessica helps employers reduce risk and prevent or resolve employee concerns before they escalate into legal proceedings. This includes developing workplace policies and procedures offering thoughtful counsel. She has notable experience defending single-plaintiff litigation and has obtained several victories in this area – both at the motion to dismiss and summary judgement stage. Whether litigating disputes, advising during investigations or counseling on employment issues, Jessica is committed to assisting clients with clarity and confidence. Jessica started her career in 2007 as a paralegal at various law firms before becoming a law clerk at the Illinois Attorney General’s Office. In 2012, she moved to the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and that same year, became an Extern at Seyfarth Shaw. In 2018, she joined Waltz, Palmer & Dawson LLC as an attorney. In 2019 she joined Dinsmore & Shohl LLP before serving as an attorney and counselor at Howard & Howard Attorneys PLLC. In 2024, she joined Martenson, Hasbrouck & Simon LLP as Of Counsel. Jessica was promoted to Partner level in October 2025. She joined Aronberg Goldgehn in 2025.
