Jessica Read, Esq.
Criminal, Family Law, Wills, Trusts, & Probate (Transactional/Litigation)
Utah
Personal Introduction
I am a member of the Utah State Bar. I received my Bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University in 1999 and my Juris Doctorate from Thomas Cooley Law School in 2004. I was admitted to the Utah State Bar in 2004. I then received a Master’s in Business Administration in 2019 from Western Governer’s University. I practice in the areas of family law, estate planning, probate, and criminal defense. I also serve as a Private Guardian ad Litem, representing the interests of the children. I draw on personal experience to help my clients navigate the emotional minefield of divorce and custody disputes. I treat my clients as unique individuals. At Jessica Read Law I strive to provide affordable and effective legal services without undermining the attention to client needs and wishes. I serve the communities of Davis, Weber, Morgan, Cache, and Salt Lake counties. I have also represented clients in Utah County. I strive to provide an above-average level of personal attention to each client. I make sure my clients know they are an integral part of the decision-making process. I understand that my clients are real people, and their problems are real problems. I also recognize that each client is unique, and a cookie cutter approach will not address the issues in each individual case. I try to think out of the box to find creative solutions to difficult situations.
