During law school, Mr. Ramirez was awarded Honors in Trial Advocacy, Best Oral Advocates and the Outstanding Moot Court Graduate Award, all prestigious recognitions of academic excellence. Mr. Ramirez also received many honors and awards for his oral advocacy and legal writing ability, including numerous published articles within the Southern California legal community. Experience. After law school, Mr. Ramirez worked as a Deputy District Attorney for the Alameda, Kern and San Bernardino County District Attorney's Offices. Over the course of 7 years, he conducted numerous misdemeanors (15) and felony (72) jury trials. After his tenure, Mr. Ramirez applied his law enforcement experience and trial skills to Police Civil Rights Litigation defense. Mr. Ramirez has represented the Los Angeles and San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department, defending peace officers in excessive force and unlawful shooting civil suits.
