Personal Introduction
I am an intellectual property and internet law lawyer with a side of commercial litigation. Not only do I do the prosecution, transactional, and portfolio management for IP, but I also litigate intellectual property, internet law, and commercial matters across the US. I am Chair of the Illinois State Bar Association's Intellectual Property Section Council. I teach Intellectual Property and the Entrepreneur and am frequently published on these topics.

Jon’s practice is focused on intellectual property litigation and intellectual property procurement. He is also an experienced commercial litigator and utility law practitioner. Regardless of the practice area, Jon believes inventive and well-developed strategies, aggressively implemented from the outset generally yield the best, and most cost effective, results for our clients. A versatile litigator, Jon has handled contested matters at federal trial and appellate courts across the country, the United States Patent and Trademark Office, the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, the World Intellectual Property Organization, Illinois’ state trial and appellate courts, the Illinois Commerce Commission and other Illinois administrative agencies.
