Personal Introduction

I am a litigator and trial lawyer with over 30 years of experience. My practice focuses on employment law, business litigation and insurance litigation, including coverage, duty to defend and bad faith. I am creative with my approach, aggressive when it is warranted and effective, always focussed on obtaining the best result possible for my clients. I believe that empathy is at the core of what I do as an attorney and feel extremely fortunate to be skilled in a craft wherein I can help people during what is often a very difficult time of their lives. I am currently senior counsel and trial counsel for Cohen Law Group, a Los Angeles based boutique litigation law firm. I started my career as an associated and later partner in the firm of Levine, Steinberg & Miller where my practice focussed on complex tort litigation and insurance bad faith. I later founded and acted as senior counsel for Pro Athlete Law Group, a firm specializing in the representation of professional athletes in labor-related matters. In addition to practicing law, I was a founder and served as General Counsel and CEO for a licensed California cannabis analytical testing laboratory, allowing me to again a unique insight into the challenges facing California businesses and employers. I graduated with BS degree in psychology from the University of Florida and later earned a JD from the University of San Diego School of Law. I am a graduate of the Gerry Spence Trial Lawyers College Seminar in Dubois, Wyoming. I was proud to serve as a volunteer board member for the North Valley Music School.
