Personal Injury, Wills, Trusts, & Probate (Transactional/Litigation)
Pinecrest, Florida
Personal Introduction
Katherine, a Miami native, earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial and Labor Relations, with a Minor in Latin American Studies from Cornell University. She obtained her Juris Doctor with Certificates in both Civil and International Law, from Loyola University New Orleans, College of Law, graduating at the top of her class. Before returning to Florida, Katherine litigated securities class actions, Federal workman's compensation suits, and also served as an advocate on behalf of domestic violence victims and children in over 250 bench trials. After being nominated by her peers, Katherine was certified as a Child Welfare Law Specialist by the National Association of Counsel for Children. Prior to founding Bender & Robb, PLLC, Katherine practiced in a Miami boutique law firm for many years litigating homeowners insurance cases, helping secure millions of dollars in settlements for thousands of Florida homeowners. She now applies her civil litigation skills in our probate cases - helping our clients navigate the court system in transferring the assets of their loved ones who have passed away. In 2022, Katherine lost both of her parents, within a month of each other, and has learned all about the importance of estate planning and navigating the probate process, from the inside out.
