Personal Introduction
I grew up farming outside Bejou, Minnesota, and spent years in the field before earning my law degree — so when farm families come to me with succession plans, land deals, or business questions, I understand what's actually at stake. My practice is built around practical, plain-English legal work for the people who grow our food, without the billable-hour uncertainty that makes most attorneys hard to work with.

Practice Summary
Midwest Ag Law is a boutique agricultural law firm licensed in Nebraska and Minnesota, focused on the legal needs of farmers, ranchers, and ag businesses. Practice areas include farm succession and estate planning, probate and trust administration, ag business formation and corporate governance, farm real estate and energy leases, and water, drainage, and ag programs. The firm operates on a flat-fee model so clients always know what they're paying before work begins. Nebraska clients may be seen in person; Minnesota clients are served 100% remotely.

Personal Interests & Charitable Work
I'm a licensed aerial applicator and ATP-rated pilot with a lifelong passion for aviation — I started spray flying at 20 years old, survived an engine failure and crash in 2018, and returned to the cockpit in 2025 after a recovery I don't take for granted. Aviation has been as much a part of my life as farming, and I hold lifetime memberships in AOPA and NAFI, serve as Vice-President of the Nebraska Aviation Trades Association, and am a committee member with the National Agricultural Aviation Association (NAAA). Outside the cockpit, I'm currently serving as President of the Hamilton County Farm Bureau, and I'm a member of the Nebraska Farm Bureau, where I previously worked on staff. Agriculture isn't just my profession, it's where I come from. I grew up homeschooled and working on a farm in northwest Minnesota, and have been hands-on in the ag industry my entire life. I'm also a licensed skydiver and a lifetime member of the United States Parachute Association (USPA), as well as a PADI Advanced Open Water diver. On the legal side, I'm an active member of both the Nebraska and Minnesota State Bar Associations. At home, I'm a husband and dad to a young son, and I try to be intentional about protecting time with my family — something that's easy to lose sight of when you're building a business.
