Personal Introduction

Lance H. Cochran’s practice focuses on the areas of law that are central to living and working in Kansas: agribusiness, estate planning, commercial/corporate and banking. He represents a wide array of agribusinesses from small farms to multinational corporations with an emphasis on farm cooperatives—including one of the largest co-ops in the United States—as well as several large feed yards throughout Kansas. Lance also provides counsel on all aspects of estate planning and succession planning for individuals across the state, focusing on farm planning, with an emphasis on trust planning. Furthermore, he advises clients on all aspects of banking law. For his agribusiness clients, Lance provides counsel on corporate matters including finance, real estate, governance, business transactions, contracts, creditor rights and more. In the estate planning arena, he protects legacies and assets for farmers and small businesses with succession plans. From lending to loan documentation to foreclosures and everything in between, Lance provides his banking clients with counsel tailored to their unique needs.
