I have been in the practice of law since 1994. I became a Board Certified Specialist in Elder Law by the NC State Bar Board of Legal Specialization and a Certified as an Elder Law Attorney by the National Elder Law Foundation in 2019. Currently serving as: President of the North Carolina Chapter of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys Treasurer of the North Carolina Bar Association of Elder and Special Needs Law Section Chair of the North Carolina Bar Elder Law Specialization Committee Former: Chair of the Cabarrus County Task Force for the Prevention of Elder Abuse Board Member North Carolina Guardianship Association My client's peace of mind is my passion - whether we are helping seniors navigate the aging process and ensuring their needs are taken care of, establishing a firm foundation of an estate plan for families, or even working through trust aspects for clients needs now or in the future for children with special needs.

Practice Summary

Elder Law & Estate Planning Solutions works with clients from the coast of North Carolina to the Mountains of North Carolina. We are able to offer in person, telephone and virtual appointments. I also serve as a Public Guardian and Public Administrator for Cabarrus County. Our office also offers placement assistance and service as trustees for individuals. We file Medicaid applications for clients throughout the state and restructure assets for protection in both emergency and pre-planning phases. We structure spend-downs in order to protect Medicaid benefits for those who are already on Medicaid and assist families in estate recovery issues with the Medicaid Estate Recovery office. I am able to assist families with children who have special needs plan for their future and draft specific trusts to ensure they have the finances for their future after their parents are gone.
