Personal Introduction

I am a seasoned transactional business and IP attorney having deep experience both in-house and in private practice. In-house I served in the capacities of General Counsel and/or Chief Legal Officer for 11+ years for multiple companies gaining extensive experience in transactional commercial law, regulatory compliance, M&A, contract negotiations, and IP management. I excel in aligning legal strategies with business goals and fostering innovation while ensuring compliance. Dual-licensed in North Carolina and Florida (i.e., limited in-house licensure in Florida), I have an established track record of guiding early-stage companies, startups, and SMBs through a wide variety of legal and compliance challenges. Based upon my years in-house, I have particularized expertise in FinTech, SaaS (i.e., both B2B and B2C), commercial real estate development and financing, and beyond, making me a versatile asset for any business needing counsel to approach issues as a true thought-partner to drive strategic growth and operational efficiency while ensuring compliance and risk mitigation.
