Practice Summary

I represent banks, financial institutions, businesses and business owners in complex commercial and agricultural litigation throughout Minnesota. My practice emphasizes distressed and undersecured credits, loan workouts, guaranty enforcement, collateral and lien-priority disputes, receiverships, fraudulent transfers and asset recovery. I also handle business contract and ownership disputes, commercial loan documentation, and selected First Amendment and privacy litigation. Representative experience includes spearheading negotiations securing agreement among seventeen lenders, a borrower and its guarantor to a voluntary receivership; obtaining trial and summary-judgment victories in fraudulent-transfer litigation; and handling agricultural finance appeals involving grain-bin fixtures and grain-fronting transactions. I also secured dismissal with prejudice of the privacy claims against Haley Kalil.
