Personal Introduction

Having spent 15 years practicing in firms, I chose to become a sole practitioner. I aim to provide a legal experience that is collaborative, sensible and reassuring – qualities that are often absent in the legal industry. I also understand the investment that my clients make when they choose me as their attorney, and am committed to delivering exceptional service in return. Legal matters can be stressful and confusing but I am here to guide you through it all. Needless to say, I take great satisfaction in doing this work in the way I think it should be done. I strive to be the attorney that I would hire to handle my own legal matters. That means I am dedicated to delivering high quality work product, maintaining open lines of communication, and approaching every step with your best interests in mind. Together, we will develop a tailored strategy that incorporates the key facts while asserting your legal rights and point of view. I will be sure to provide meaningful options and recommendations so you remain confident that your decisions are informed, prudent and align with what you aim to achieve. I am a seasoned and versatile lawyer who specializes in business and commercial law with a focus on real estate. I have solid experience handling breach of contract claims, commercial lease disputes and construction issues in federal, state and civil courts. I also have particular expertise advising cooperative and condominium boards on their rights and remedies and serving as their litigation counsel on an as-needed basis. Aside from dealing with disputes, I also negotiate complex agreements with developers, contracts to ensure compliance with local laws (i.e., LL 11) as well as license and access agreements relating to neighboring work and capital improvements. While much of my practice involves representing business owners, I also enjoy working with individuals from all walks of life, including property owners, entrepreneurs, shareholders, mortgagors, debtors, landlords and everyday people, like myself. In addition to managing my own firm, I serve as Of Counsel to two highly reputable law firms specializing in complex real estate and business transactions and trusts and estates. Before establishing my own practice, I was a partner at a prominent boutique real estate firm. My legal career began as an associate at well-established commercial and civil litigation firms in New York City.
