Personal Introduction
I think it's kinda unique that I've been practicing 49 years and still love what I do. What I do best is unraveling complicated business situations; and then drafting clear agreements that get deals closed. My happy place is IP agreements. I'm great at parachuting in and getting up to speed ... speedily. I'm easy to work with and my clients love me. I'm happy to consult and advise, dive in do one project and leave, or take new clients if I think we'll get along well together. And I've been working remotely since before Covid, actually for about 25 years. OK, more than a sentence or two, but they are short.

Practice Summary
39 Years in Silicon Valley; 10 years in Texas' IP sector. Intellectual property licensing; two and multi-party joint development agreements, multi-party ASIC and FPGA chip licenses; SaaS and PaaS agreements, Merger and Acquisition deals in the tech sector; Series Seed and Series A investment deals. Basically any contract where IP is a material part of the deal is my happy place. This includes transactions involving new, disruptive or deep tech inventions. The more complicated the IP aspects, the more I can help. Here are some interesting facts about me and/or my practice > My first online client was a CompuServe Section owner before there were ubiquitous Internet browsers - just about 5 people on Mosaic. > I navigated a crazy director situation for the rest of the board and the CEO; and I navigated a crazy CEO situation for the board. > I was asked to handle a 3-party semiconductor component license and it turned out the 2 parties other than my client, were also clients. > I handled a $5million seed investment that was 2/3 cash and 1/3 crypto having met the client the day before the first Stock Purchase Agreement arrived. > I drove a taxi in NYC when I was in law school.

Personal Interests & Charitable Work
I moved from New York City to Silicon Valley to rural Texas - living here is interesting enough. I love it. I also love gardening and travel, especially cruising. I have Volunteered on online support groups for 25+ years. I am the IP mentor for TechFW, and work with Cowtown Seed, a early term investing and advising group.
