Personal Introduction

Mr. Akerman graduated New York University and earned his law degree from Yeshiva University, Cardozo Law School. While working his way through law school, Mr. Akerman also held internships with various law firms specializing in the fields of personal injury, criminal law, matrimonial law and contract law. Since his admission to the Bar in March of 2000, he has been providing outstanding representation to his clients and has successfully handled many hundreds of cases from start to finish, in all phases of litigation. Mr. Akerman concentrates in personal injury and medical malpractice cases but has also handled various commercial, real estate and other litigation matters. A skilled negotiator, he regularly gets cases settled that were thought to be impossible. Mr. Akerman regularly appears in the Courts in all the five boroughs of New York City. Mr. Akerman is licensed to practice in the State of New York and in the Federal Courts of the State of New York. He was also a member of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association. Mr. Akerman currently lives with his wife and children in Brooklyn.
