Personal Introduction
Since 1997, Mr. Leaf has represented corporations and individuals before state and federal courts and other tribunals in a variety of litigation matters. His practice focuses on media and complex commercial litigation matters, internal investigations, and providing litigation risk counseling. Sam has litigated numerous matters on behalf of publishers, broadcasters and other media entities, including defamation actions, privacy torts, intellectual property disputes and press access matters. Sam also has extensive litigation experience in commercial matters, including alter ego and successor liability actions, fraudulent transfer claims, insurance coverage and toxic tort actions, shareholder disputes, corporate dissolution claims, breach of contract actions, and other business disputes. Sam graduated Brooklyn Law School (cum laude) in 1997, where he served as Editor-in-Chief of the Brooklyn Law Review. He received his BA from Kenyon College in 1989.
