Personal Introduction

Scott Hubay is the Managing Partner at Hubay Dougherty, bringing over 15 years of legal and hands-on experience to his practice. His practice areas include energy and environmental law, with a particular focus on clean energy development, as well as representation of nonprofit 501(c) and Section 527 organizations. Since founding Hubay Dougherty in 2016, Scott has represented a diverse range of clients, including clean energy engineers and developers, oil & gas lease parties, environmental and energy nonprofit advocacy organizations, state political parties, local, state and federal campaigns, and political action committees. This includes a diverse collection of nonprofits that Scott works with, providing his clients with access to a wealth of expertise and support to help them succeed. Scott collaborates closely with his colleagues and his network of nonprofits to assist energy companies on permitting and other regulatory matters at the local, state, and federal level. This collaborative approach ensures that his clients have the comprehensive support they need to navigate the complex landscape of energy and environmental law.
