Located in the historic Fisher Building, in the heart of Midtown Detroit, the Firm was established in 1986 as Floyd E. Allen & Associates by the firm’s Principal, Floyd E. Allen. Our philosophy is to provide advice and legal representation that allows policy makers and boards to achieve their goals while minimizing the legal risk. ALG attorneys have extensive business experience in addition to the practice of law. This diverse combination of backgrounds enables the Firm to better understand our clients’ needs, and how they can be met with practical legal solutions. Our attorneys have worked for large multi-national corporations, large municipalities, federal government agencies and owned their own businesses. They have also worked in education, banking, manufacturing, real estate, construction, gaming, public administration, labor relations and human resources. ALG is also an active participant in the metropolitan Detroit community. Our attorneys participate in a variety of professional associations, and continually look for opportunities to protect and advocate our clients’ interests on all fronts. We currently have attorneys who lead and serve on various non-profit boards, charter school boards, political campaigns, community groups and other public interest organizations throughout Southeastern Michigan.
