Personal Introduction

Shannon A. Ligon is managing member of Ligon Law Group, LLC, now known as PrettySMARTLaw. Attorney Ligon earned her Juris Doctor Degree from Florida A&M University College of Law in Orlando, FL and works in the areas of: Entertainment & Sports Law, Employment Discrimination, Business Law & Personal Injury. As a serial entrepreneur she is also Founder of many PrettySMART brands but prides herself on earning her Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Florida State University. Shannon also spent time abroad studying International Business at the Universidad de Valencia in Valencia, Spain. And she later received her certification in Television & Radio Broadcasting & Production from the CSB School of Broadcasting in 2004. Ms. Ligon has experience in the areas of Entertainment, Media & Business Law, where she has successfully worked within the entertainment and sports industry for the past eight years. Previous work experience includes working with Integrated Sports Management (formerly TriStar Sports & Entertainment) with Sports Agent Richard DeLuca, Big3 Records, and Clear Channel Communications. She has also clerked at the prestigious firm of Gary, Williams and Finney et al. specializing in Civil Litigation. While there she gained the opportunity to work on several Personal Injury, Intellectual Property, and Entertainment Law matters satisfying both her love for entertainment and the law. Ms. Ligon also serves as Senior Attorney at the Women's Trial Group which handles Personal Injury, Injury to Children, and Wrongful Death cases.Ms. Ligon is a member of the Florida Bar and active in a number of professional organizations including the American Bar Association: Entertainment & Sports Lawyers Division, the Recording Academy of the Grammy, the National Bar Association and the Black Entertainment & Sports Lawyers Association. She serves as founder of her own non-profit, Legacy Entertainment & Arts Foundation, Inc. (L.E.A.F. Inc.) which advances entertainment and the arts by creating scholarships for underprivileged youth. She is also a proud supporter of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. In her spare time she enjoys traveling, fitness, and songwriting.
