Personal Introduction

Steven has spent the bulk of his career supporting small and medium-sized firms as outside general counsel. He has a passion for helping his clients grow and aims to provide risk-based legal advice designed to keep his clients focused on their core competencies. Steven holds a degree in International Labor Relations from Cornell University where he was a Merrill Presidential Scholar and a law degree from Columbia University where he was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar. Beginning his law career at Cleary Gottlieb, he spent four years in the bank regulatory practice, advising the world’s largest financial institutions on complex derivatives and other financial transactions. Following Cleary Gottlieb, Steven was a Vice President of Bank Regulation and Cybersecurity for Société Générale where he advised the board on all manner of bank regulatory and cybersecurity issues. Steven’s experience at Société Générale spurred his interest in pivoting from financial regulation to the issues facing today’s technology companies. In 2022, Steven joined with Colleen Garcia and founded an innovative law firm focused on providing clients with first-rate legal support and transparent, predictable billing.
