Practice Summary
The son of a coal miner, Attorney Steve Fleschner developed a healthy respect for hard work at a young age. His mother came from a family of farmers, and many of Steve’s aunts and uncles worked in factories or drove trucks. Standing up and fighting for working people and their families is important to him, which is part of the reason why he helped found the law firm of Fleschner, Stark, Tanoos & Newlin in his hometown of Terre Haute in 1988. Steve graduated from Indiana State University in 1971 with a Bachelor of Science degree. He went on to earn his Juris Doctor from Washburn University Law School, where he graduated with honors before receiving a Master of Laws from the University of Missouri at Kansas City. An active participant in many professional organizations and associations, Steve is a member of the American Bar Association, the Terre Haute Bar Association, and the Indiana State Bar Association. He is also involved with the American Association for Justice, the American Trial Lawyers Association, and the Indiana Trial Lawyers Association.
