Personal Introduction

Susan Dierenfeldt-Troy handles the business law and intellectual property law practice areas for the firm. She is a magna cum laude graduate of St. Thomas University School of Law in Miami Lakes, Florida and a registered patent attorney with the United States Patent & Trademark Office. Her pre-law career included both academic research and new product development as an R&D manager in the medical device industry. She is the author of several peer-reviewed medical journal papers. Her broad-based background allows her to communicate with a wide variety of individuals from “large corporation” officers to “just-getting started” entrepreneurs. As someone who has actually developed new, complex products from concept through market release, she has the ability to understand the typical issues which confront most new product or new service developers. These issues can range from technical/manufacturing issues to regulatory issues.
