• Represent clients in domestic relations matters in Arkansas courts (protection, divorce, custody, child support) • Represent clients in domestic relations matters in Arkansas courts (guardianship, adoption, estate administration, estate contest) • Represent clients in criminal matters in Arkansas courts (all offenses except B felony and above) • Advise business owners re: contracts and collections, assist with enforcement of contracts in Arkansas courts, assist with debt collection, preserve creditor rights in bankruptcy. • Advise clients on a wide-range of federal, state, & sales tax matters, particularly in areas of unclear compliance issues; prepare income, gift, estate, sales & use, & payroll tax returns for individuals, businesses, & other entities, & advise planning strategies for future years. • Represent clients before federal, state, & local tax authorities to resolve controversies and tax debts, particularly in areas of unclear compliance issues. • Advise business owners re: development of policies & procedures related to human resources, including design of compensation plans, payroll administration, benefit plan design & administration, timekeeping, wage & hour issues, position descriptions & determination of position requirements, hiring procedures, termination procedures, automation & offsiting, & other issues. • Advise clients on a wide-range of federal, state, & sales tax matters, particularly in areas of unclear compliance issues; prepare income, gift, estate, sales & use, & payroll tax returns for individuals, businesses, & other entities, & advise planning strategies for future years. • Advise business owners re: management & operations to contain or cut costs & to improve efficiency & effectiveness of operations, incl. potential cost savings achievable from offsiting or outsourcing, design transition plans to achieve new structure. • Examine financial & administrative records related to compilation of annual financial statements to evaluate compliance with GAAP & various federal & state rules & regulations; provide guidance to client staff to ensure proper implementation of & compliance with GAAP; perform or review all aspects of finance & administration, including A/P, A/R, payroll, tax, cost accounting, & inventory.
