Personal Introduction

I am licensed to practice law by the Supreme Court of Wisconsin and the Supreme Court of Minnesota. I earned a bachelor's degree in Business Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, graduating with honors in May of 2008. I then moved to Madison and earned my J.D. (Juris Doctor) degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School. During the summer after my first year in law school, I studied maritime law and international business law in Greece through a program sponsored by Tulane University Law School. This was a great experience and ignited in me a love for international travel and learning about new places and cultures. Due to studying abroad during my first summer of law school and taking full course loads in subsequent semesters, I was able to graduate from law school a full semester early. I graduated with honors, in the top 25% of my graduating class, in December of 2010 and was admitted as an attorney to the Wisconsin Bar in January of 2011. Prior to opening my own law firm, I clerked at a litigation and general practice firm in Wisconsin between my second and third year of law school. After graduation, I clerked for one year in the Trusts and Estates Department of a large Minnesota law firm in St. Paul. While working in Minnesota, I studied for and successfully passed the Minnesota Bar Exam on my first try. After finishing clerking in St. Paul, I moved back to Wisconsin and opened my own boutique law firm near my hometown of Chippewa Falls. I try to draw on all of my varied educational, life, and work experiences to help meet your legal needs in an efficient and diligent manner. When I am not practicing law, I enjoy golfing, traveling (especially international travel), biking, cooking, skiing, playing the piano, and tennis. I enjoy international travel as a means of education by learning more about other people, other cultures, and world history. In my travels so far, I have met dozens of interesting people from all walks of life. You can check out the list of countries I have visited so far on the right. I plan to update this list as I go, and if you enjoy travel as well, please feel free to give me your tips when we meet and maybe I will see you on the road!
