Personal Introduction

A veteran of the United States Marine Corps, Travis has what it takes to overcome the challenges facing us. After growing up in suburban Washington State, Travis enlisted in the Marine Corps at eighteen and headed to Iraq a short time later. Travis served four and a half years with the Marine Corps before separating. Upon returning home to Washington, he completed two years of study at Everett Community College in Everett, Washington before continuing his education at Mississippi College in Clinton, Mississippi. While at Mississipi College, Travis went on to graduate Cum Laude in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science. After graduation, Travis worked with state and local government officials to construct a long term plan for infrastructure improvement and economic development in Jackson, MS, and the surrounding areas. Graduating from the University of Alabama School of Law in 2017, Travis started his career at a small family litigation firm in Birmingham, AL. In Birmingham, Travis helped clients navigate divorce and family law proceedings in Jefferson, Blount, and St. Claire counties. When to opportunity arose to come back home, Travis joined the Tuscaloosa County District Attorney’s office prosecuting felony cases. This experience gave him the skills and knowledge to successfully present facts and law persuasively. Further, working closely with police, Travis gained an in-depth knowledge of how law enforcement operates. Lastly, Travis has experience arguing difficult, complex and, passion-filled cases to judges and juries. Travis’s first argued a case to a jury was just four months after graduating from law school.
