Born and raised in Southern California, Ms. Ortega Bartsch earned her BA in Psychology and Political Science from the University of Southern California, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. She subsequently earned her Juris Doctorate from the University of Hawaii at Manoa; William S. Richardson College of Law. While completing his Juris Doctorate, she received honors for Best Appellate Defense Report, participated in the Hispanic Moot Court Team, worked on an interdisciplinary team for at-risk youth, and co-founded La Alianza, a Latino organization for law students.
