Personal Introduction

Hi, I’m William, but you can call me Bill. I’ve been an attorney for over a decade, and I’ve dedicated my career to helping people through tough times. My journey in law began right here in Colorado Springs as a Deputy District Attorney at the 4th Judicial District Attorney’s Office, where I handled thousands of cases, ranging from speeding tickets to major felonies. I then went and worked at a large firm here in Colorado Springs doing Criminal Defense, and then I ran a solo firm before joining Liberty Law Center. I’ve focused my whole career on supporting individuals who really need someone in their corner. I grew up on the east coast in Upstate New York and moved around a bit during my high school years, ending up in the Seattle area. After graduating from Puyallup High School in Puyallup, Washington, I ventured through Utah and Ohio before finding my way to Colorado. I met my wife and started my family here in Colorado Springs, and it has become my home. My love for the written word led me to earn a degree in English from Brigham Young University – Idaho. Then, I returned to Colorado to get my law degree from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. My goal has always been to be a trial lawyer, and I’ve worked hard to get there. I believe in a balance of understanding and strong negotiation skills. Outside the courtroom, I’m all about compassionate understanding of my client’s needs and I work hard to understand what outcomes they want when dealing with the legal system. I believe in helping my clients in any way I can, which often means helping them find solutions for underlying issues (substance use, mental health issues, etc.), and not just addressing the legal issue that I’ve been hired to handle. When it’s time to fight for my clients’ rights, I’m as tough as they come- I believe the law can be a powerful tool for justice, and I will use every ounce of my knowledge and skills to help my clients fight and win. So, why choose me as your attorney? I believe everyone deserves a lawyer who genuinely cares and listens to them. I’m here to guide you through the legal process, making it as stress-free as possible. My experiences, both personal and professional, have taught me how to be the best advocate for my clients. I will always be completely honest with my clients, which can lead to uncomfortable conversations about the legal consequences they are facing, which can often lead to a plea deal. I do not run from a fight- I am a trial lawyer, and trial is my true passion. I will stand by my clients in their toughest moments and give them the best defense possible to protect their interests. If you’re looking for a lawyer who combines a deep understanding of the law with a heart filled with compassion for your needs, I’m here for you. Let’s navigate this journey together.
