Aaron is a registered U.S. patent attorney who represents clients of all sizes. He helps clients identify, protect, and leverage their intellectual property rights in the U.S. and abroad. He assists clients with strategic intellectual property portfolio development, management, and technology transactions in a variety of industries. Aaron's experience includes preparing and negotiating patent/technology licensing and purchase agreements as well as preparing product development, licensing, distribution and services agreements for technology, engineering, and telecommunications businesses; performing intellectual property due diligence investigations; resolving intellectual property issues for the acquisition of technology companies or assets; assisting international businesses with the legal issues and agreements associated with the creation and operation of products, software distribution, cloud services, mobile applications, and open source software issues; preparing patentability and freedom to operate opinions; and providing trademark and trade secret counseling. Aaron is also an experienced patent prosecutor with extensive expertise across a broad range of electrical and computer technologies, having drafted and prosecuted numerous patent applications. He got his start in patent law as a patent examiner at the USPTO. He has practiced in the areas of optics, sensors, telecommunications, software interfaces, and power and control systems, RF devices, semiconductor materials, devices, and manufacturing. Aaron also has significant experience working with clients in the telecom and electronic games industry, and a thorough understanding of both the business and intellectual property impacts of such businesses. Prior to founding the firm, Aaron served as in-house intellectual property counsel at a global telecommunications company. Prior to entering the field of law, he worked as an engineer and software developer for telecommunications companies and a marketing firm.
