Personal Interests & Charitable Work

Check out my Substack at aliciadearn.com. I planned to spend the second half of my life quietly writing genre-bending romance novels (pen name: Amelia Elliot). But the rise of American Fascism rudely interrupted me. So now I'm back in the courtroom, and also writing about civil rights, the law, politics, and the bizarre things that keep happening to me. My non-legal background: nomad (usually by sailboat or RV), novelist, trauma survivor, political troublemaker, owner of too many animals, chronically-ill entrepreneur, and unwilling expert in both resilience and disaster. The stories I tell are true. Names may be changed to protect the innocent, or because I forgot them.
