Growing up in the Chicago area, Brandon attended University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts specializing in Political Science. He was also involved in the school’s political science honors society. Upon graduation, Brandon attended Marquette University Law School. While at Marquette, Brandon took part in various extracurricular activities, including moot court, two of the school’s law journals, and Marquette’s Pro Bono Honor Society. He also gained practical experience by interning for Gamiño Law Offices L.L.C., Catholic Charities Legal Services for Immigrants, Marquette’s Volunteer Legal Clinic, and he clerked for Gende Law Office S.C.
