Personal Introduction

Caitlin is a Certified Specialist in Estate Planning, Probate and Trust law from the California Bar Association. Less than one percent of attorneys in the State of California have earned the Specialist designation. Caitlin is a graduate of the University of California at Irvine and McGeorge School of Law. While at McGeorge, she earned a Concentration in Taxation. Caitlin was a tax senior in the legal department of Deloitte and Touche, LLP, before relocating back to Sacramento in 1999. At Deloitte and Touche, Caitlin earned the Client Service Matrix Award for national acceptance of a creative tax strategy to be used nationwide for individual and corporate clients. After returning to Sacramento, Caitlin worked as an associate attorney at McDonough, Holland and Allen, the second largest law firm in Sacramento at the time, before opening her own law office over 15 years ago. At McDonough, Holland and Allen, Caitlin worked with clients on estate planning, tax planning, business planning, probate and trust administration issues. She is a Certified Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust Administration and Probate from the California State Bar - a designation that less than 1% of all licensed attorneys in the state of California have earned. ​ In addition to her own law practice, Caitlin is a former adjunct professor at MTI College in Sacramento and a former adjunct professor at McGeorge School of Law. Caitlin received the Excellence in Teaching Award from MTI College. ​ Caitlin is also involved in the community as an active Rotary member and a volunteer for the Sacramento Voluntary Services Program, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northern California. Caitlin is also a former board member of Sierra College Foundation, Miracles Through Music, the Riverlake Community Association, Granite Bay MOMS Club (Past President) and Boys Team Charity. Caitlin is on the advisory board for the Sacramento Bee SacMomsClub. Caitlin is a member of the Trusts & Estates section of the California Bar Association and the Probate and Estate Planning section of the Placer County Bar Association. Caitlin is also a former member of the Sacramento Estate Planning Council.
