Personal Introduction

Jean-Paul Cass is registered to practice with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and is admitted to practice in Arizona, Massachusetts, the District of Columbia, the United States District Court for the Southern and Eastern District of New York and the District of Massachusetts, and New York. Mr. Cass has represented university and corporate clients in intellectual property matters in many fields including: mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, materials, nanotechnology, clean renewable energy and medical devices. Mr. Cass' legal experience also includes patent procurement, prosecuting patent applications, conducting due diligence investigations, rendering freedom to operate legal opinions and representing clients in patent litigation proceedings. Mr. Cass also has experience in patent interference proceedings, drafting trademark opinions, preparing non-disclosure and licensing agreements, conducting freedom to operate and patentability searches and representing clients in trademark and copyright matters.
