Personal Introduction

Jennifer offers estate planning services to families with neurotypical and neurodiverse children. A former special education teacher, Jennifer has dedicated the latter half of her twenty plus years of legal experience to special needs planning. Jennifer began her legal career with a prestigious judicial clerkship for the Supreme Court of Rhode Island. She then worked as an associate for a labor and employment boutique law firm in Providence, Rhode Island. Presently admitted to both the Missouri and New York Bars, Jennifer worked for ten plus years as Professional Liability Claims Counsel for Wright Risk Management, a third-party administrator for Brown and Brown Insurance and other carriers. In this role, she was responsible for managing the defense and settlement of professional liability claims, including disability discrimination cases against municipal insureds. She also oversaw the defense and settlement of special education due process hearing complaints against school districts and municipalities. It was her experience as a parent of a toddler needing early intervention that sparked Jennifer’s passion for special needs planning. She first founded St. Raphael Advocacy, a small business designed to help parents advocate successfully for special education services. Thereafter, her work evolved to special needs trust planning as an attorney for MGD Law LLC in St. Louis. More recently, Jennifer worked for Wells Fargo Bank as an Executive Director and Sr. Special Needs Trust Advisory Specialist. In this role as a regional specialist, she was responsible for overseeing the administration of special needs trusts and advising clients and advisors on special needs trust issues.
