Jillian is a member of the corporate transactions, tax, government investigations and regulatory and compliance practice groups. She regularly advises businesses on formation, reorganization, including mergers and acquisitions, general corporate governance, and tax optimization planning. Jillian primarily focuses on advising companies on state and local tax matters including sales and use tax, commercial activity tax and corporate franchise and income tax. She has experience representing clients in a variety of government and regulatory investigations and enforcement actions involving Attorneys General, consumer protection agencies, state and local licensing boards and regulatory compliance agencies as well as healthcare compliance, including representation in government investigation by CMS/ Medicare. She also has extensive experience with marketing compliance as it relates to state and federal consumer protection laws. She has represented hundreds of plaintiffs at all phases of litigation in various negligence and malpractice matters, successfully resolving many matters through mediation and alternative dispute resolution.
